These keys belonged to the Stabler family, on whose land UMBC is built. The keys are housed with other Stabler family artifacts and documents in our collection.
This mace was commissioned by UMBC's alumni association for outgoing chancellor John Dorsey in 1986 and is carried by the Grand Marshall in every UMBC graduation ceremony.
